Oslo Brewster
Dr. Oslo Brewster is an Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accountability (IDEA) facilitator in the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion. In this role, they develop evidence-based education and training curricula for diverse student, faculty, and staff audiences on inclusion, diversity, equity, and accountability topics. They also facilitate workshops, trainings, and other learning opportunities that center accessibility and prioritize social justice.
Prior to joining 榴梿视频, Oslo has been a learner and teacher in a variety of settings and communities. In their role as Congregational Administrator, they taught community classes on critical race theory and queer theory at North Shore Unitarian Church. At Indiana University, they developed and taught courses on queer theory, critical race theory, postcolonial theory, fashion, music, visuality, and popular culture. They’ve also worked as a cheesemonger, a DJ, and a librarian.
Oslo earned their bachelor’s degree in English from Earlham College, and holds a master’s degree in Art History and a doctorate in American Studies with a concentration in Critical Race and Postcolonial Theory from Indiana University Bloomington.
