NU-SHIP Eligibility

If you are a degree-seeking student at Áñ—†ÊÓƵ University*, and you are registered for classes, you are defaulted into the Áñ—†ÊÓƵ University Student Health Insurance Plan (NU-SHIP) -- at the start of each academic year -- to ensure you Áñ—†ÊÓƵ comprehensive, affordable insurance coverage. (If you already are covered under your own health insurance plan, you must waive your NU-SHIP enrollment during the open enrollment period, to ensure you are not billed for the NU-SHIP.)

NU-SHIP coverage is not available for:

• students in certificate Áñ—†ÊÓƵs
• *degree-seeking students enrolled in Áñ—†ÊÓƵs through the School of Professional Studies (SPS)
• students whose entire Áñ—†ÊÓƵ is online

Dependents

For an additional cost, you can add coverage for a spouse or same-sex partner, and for any unmarried children 26 years of age or younger. You must enroll your dependents before the enrollment / waiver deadline. Click here for more information on enrolling dependents (link).
