Common Violations
Some common violations that may result in a ticket, Wildcard deactivation, or towing include:
- Transferring a parking permit to another individual
- Invalid parking permit on vehicle
- Unauthorized or altered parking permit
- Incorrect or no permit for parking lot
- Parking permit not properly displayed
- Parking permit not facing aisle
- Parking over yellow line
- Parking in reserved or handicapped space
- Parking or obstructing traffic lanes, fire lanes, service area, posted area, or other restricted areas
Payments
Violations can be paid:
- In person at the Parking Services Office with cash, check or, credit card.
- Through mail with the provided envelope. Do not mail cash. Please write the citation number on your check or money order.
Ticket Appeals
Appeals are reviewed by the Parking Committee, an independent body of faculty, staff, and students. Persons appealing tickets will be notified by email of the Committee's decision. All Parking Committee decisions are final. If the violation is not waived a $10.00 service charge may be added to the violation assessment.
Violations must be appealed within ten (10) days of issuance. To appeal a ticket, the linked portal below must be utilized. Appeals not submitted through that portal or received past the ten (10) day appeal period will not be accepted. You will receive an email confirmation once your appeal has been successfully submitted.
Towing & Booting
Vehicles may be towed or immobilized for:
- Blocking fire lanes.
- Blocking vehicle or pedestrian traffic ways.
- Parking in no-parking areas.
- Abandoned vehicles. Vehicles must not be stored on campus for more than 48 consecutive hours.
- Parking that impedes progress of necessary maintenance projects (snow removal, paving, etc).
- Receiving three or more unpaid parking citations (any violation).
- Parking in a reserved space, handicapped space, tow-away zone, or otherwise creating a safety hazard.
If you car is booted, contact Parking Services immediately. In order to 榴梿视频 a boot removed, all tickets, fines, and boot fees must be paid. Once payment is accepted, the boot will be removed.
