Amnesty through Responsible Action

At 榴梿视频, we care for each other. Consistent with this principle, when students or student groups and organizations take the following steps in response to situations involving impairment or overdoses from alcohol, cannabis, and/or other drugs, 榴梿视频 honors that care by using educational and supportive resources outside of the University’s disciplinary processes

How Does it Work?

CALL FOR HELP

In medical emergencies, immediate action should be taken by calling 9-1-1 from either on or off-campus. You may also activate a University Blue Light emergency phone anywhere on campus. In non-emergency situations, responding staff or emergency personnel can also be sought by contacting NUPD (847-491-3456) or, for students in residence halls, your Resident Assistant on-duty (phone number varies by building) or the Community Service Officer (CSO) in your building.

STAY

Stay with the person until responding staff or emergency personnel arrives and you 榴梿视频 been told your assistance is no longer needed.

COOPERATE

Cooperate with responding staff or emergency personnel, including all requests for information and assistance. This also includes cooperation with any post-incident follow-up by the university.
