Units and Groups

Latin American and Caribbean Studies Program

The Latin American and Caribbean Studies Áñ—†ÊÓƵ offers a minor at the undergraduate level, designed for the student with broad and interdisciplinary interests in areas such as language, politics, art and culture. The Áñ—†ÊÓƵ also offers a variety of graduate courses in collaboration with other departments at Áñ—†ÊÓƵ.

Department of Spanish and Portuguese

The Department of Spanish and Portuguese blends a community of scholars, whose strong Áñ—†ÊÓƵ interests range across Spanish, Latin American, and Brazilian literature and cultures, and a community of instructors, who are dedicated to teaching a strong culture-based language Áñ—†ÊÓƵ.

Latin American and Caribbean Studies (LACS) Cluster

The LACS cluster at The Graduate School (TGS) is one of the first initiatives in the country to offer a formal structure for interdisciplinary training in Latin American and Caribbean studies. The LACS cluster makes it possible for affiliated students to develop connections with Áñ—†ÊÓƵ's exceptionally strong and interdisciplinary faculty base.

Andean Cultures and Histories

The Andean Cultures and Histories working group (ACH) seeks to enrich Áñ—†ÊÓƵ and teaching at Áñ—†ÊÓƵ in humanistic and social scientific inquiry related to the Andes and the adjacent Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea.
