Highlight
The Kakehashi Project
In December 2023, seven Áñ—†ÊÓƵ Japanese language students traveled to Japan (Tokyo and Hakodate) for an eight-day immersion trip, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and by invitation of the Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE). The relationship with JICE and travel coordination are managed by the Office of the Vice President for International Relations (VPIR). In Tokyo, the students immersed themselves in the city's rich cultural history — visiting museums, shrines, and gardens, as well as the Imperial Palace and Diet Building. In Hakodate, they spent two nights with a homestay family, practicing Japanese and taking part in local customs and traditions, and joined a holiday party organized by the Hokkaido International Foundation. This was the third time Áñ—†ÊÓƵ was invited to participate in this selective Áñ—†ÊÓƵ.
