Reservation: Sewing Machine

Individual Sewing Machine Rental  

In-Studio Sewing Machine Rental:  $5 / day 
Out-of-Studio Sewing Machine Rental (Limit to 24 hours):  $15 / day 

*Please note: Sewing skill is required to rent or use the sewing machine in-studio. Only select staff are trained to assist, and we cannot guarantee help during your visit and/or upon renting the machine to take home.

In-Studio Reservations Include:

  • 1 working machine.
  • 3 needles.
  • 1 bobbin spool.
  • 1 kit with rotary cutters, fabric scissors, pins, and more. 

Out-of-Studio Reservations Include:

  • 1 working machine
  • 3 needles.
  • 1 bobbin spool.
  • Out-of-studio use requires approval in advance. You must know how to properly work a sewing machine.  Please email articastudios@u.northwestern.edu for approval. 
Important Notes:
  • We do not provide thread or fabric.  
  • Our machines must be handled with care. If the machine is returned with damaged or pieces missing, you will be charged with repair or replacement.
